Marrow Games ("Marrow," "we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect when you visit marrow.games or join our mailing list, why, and what you can do about it. Marrow Games is responsible for the personal information described here. You can reach us at support@marrow.games.
What we collect
Your email address, if you give it to us. When you sign up to be notified about our games, we collect the email address you enter. That's the only personal information we ask for.
Basic technical data. Like almost every website, our hosting provider automatically receives standard request data when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you load. We don't use this to identify you.
We don't use advertising trackers, and we don't sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone.
How we use it
We use your email address only to send you news from Marrow: game announcements, development updates, and our Patreon launch. Every email includes a link to unsubscribe, and you can leave at any time.
Our legal basis for this is your consent, which you give when you sign up and confirm your address. You can withdraw it at any time by unsubscribing.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not set cookies and does not use analytics or advertising trackers. When you sign up, our email provider, Kit, may run a brief check to confirm you're a person rather than a bot, and that check may use its own cookies.
Do Not Track. Because we don't track visitors across websites, there is nothing for a browser's "Do Not Track" signal to turn off. We treat every visitor the same way whether or not the signal is on.
Who helps us
We rely on a few trusted services to run this site:
- Kit (kit.com) stores our mailing list and sends our emails.
- Vercel (vercel.com) hosts this website.
- Google Fonts delivers the typefaces on these pages, which means your browser requests them from Google.
Each of these services handles data under its own privacy policy.
Where your data is stored
Marrow is based in the United States, and these services store data in the United States. If you sign up from outside the U.S., your email address will be transferred to and stored there.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe from any email with one click. You can also ask us to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, and we'll do it promptly. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act, and we honor those requests. To make one, email support@marrow.games. If you're in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
This site isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we'll remove them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
